[0:05] Hey there, welcome back to your fun and profitable online business. I’m Wendy Muzzy, also known as Confetti Girl, and I’m your go-to money coach and business strategist. I help women entrepreneurs create online businesses that are fun and profitable. You can have both, trust me. Whether you’re building your business from scratch or just soaring to new heights, this podcast is here to help you brainstorm, problem-solve, and take joyful, actionable steps. Today in this episode, we’re going to dive into one of my favorite topics, offer ecosystems. And why this is one of my favorite topics because it’s a game changer in your business. Now, I’ve brought this up to people before, and they just look at me blankly. I’m like, Oh, maybe I’m talking about something people don’t know about. So I figured we’d make it a podcast topic and just really kind of go into it in a little bit of detail.
What is an offer ecosystem
[0:53] Simply put, your offer ecosystem is just a mix of offers. I said in the last episode, we are past the stage of one offer for one person at one time. And this kind of takes care of that for us. We have a mix of offers that can meet our clients where they are. Now, sometimes there’s a variety of costs, maybe it’s a low ticket to a high ticket offer. Or maybe it’s just a variety of offerings, like a done for you done with you, or done do it yourself type of offer. There’s a whole variety of things. But it’s a whole bunch of offers, or just for whatever you want it to be, that you can give to your clients to help them achieve the ultimate transformation. Now, this may sound easy, and it is kind of easy. But you have to be strategic whenever you think about your offer ecosystem.
[1:41] First, let’s talk about what those different stages are. We initially have our weekly content. It’s free. There’s nothing in exchange like this podcast is my weekly content. You don’t give me anything for this, I just get to provide service. So that’s the base of what this is. That’s kind of an offer ecosystem, but it’s not really because there’s not an exchange of information or contact or money or anything else. Next, you have what we call the freebie, your lead magnet. And this is what you give to a client in exchange for their email address or their contact information. It could also be their cell phone number or any number of things. So they get a resource from you in exchange for contact information. Then you have a low ticket offer. Now, generally, I don’t love to put dollar amounts on it, but it generally is less than $100. And this is a low-ticket offer. This gives someone a chance to kind of get to know you before actually committing more money. And so they get a little sample.
[2:40] Up next, you’ve got a mid-ticket offer. Generally, these are lower than $500. Again, I hate to put prices on it because it’s really individualized what prices are. But I do like to give you ranges so you have an idea. And then you have a high ticket offer. This is generally more than $500. Also, you could have a top-tier offer, which is, you know, 2000 plus or whatever else this category might be. But in this stage, you can help someone walk through the different tiers to get to the transformation.
[3:09] And I think it’s really important to think about this because it allows for a variety of opportunities for you to help someone. The other part is, if you’re multi-passionate, like me, it keeps things interesting. I’m not doing the same thing all day every day. Now, this is the basis of my write offer framework. So if you ever want to know more about that, you can go to my website, wendymuzzy.com and learn about it. It’s the foundation of what that principle is.
How can it drive sustainable business growth
Now, I said this is a game changer for your business. And you might be wondering why I don’t get it. It feels like more work. It feels like more things I have to do. It just feels like more. And I get that I fully respect it. But I like to use this analogy just to kind of give you an idea of what I’m talking about. I talk frequently if you know me one-on-one, or if you see me on social media, I talk frequently about this pond that we live on. We live on an 18-acre pond. It’s an ecosystem within itself. But this 18-acre pond has multiple water sources. There are some springs nearby. There’s a stream that kind of comes through it. And there’s also rain runoff that comes into the basin. And then water kind of goes to the other side. So there’s a spillway that drops through and has water flow through.
[4:22] Now, whenever I think of the Offer ecosystem, I like to think of this pond because there’s always water that’s running through. And let’s think of that as our money. So there’s always money running through our business or water running through our pond. And fortunately, we’ve got multiple water sources that feed into this pond. Now, lately, we haven’t had a lot of rain. So our water level is a little low, but it’s still able to flow because we’ve got the creeks and the springs. But if we didn’t have multiple opportunities for water to come through, it’d dry up and there’d be no water to run through the spillways. And this is true for our business too. We’ve got to have multiple opportunities of income to come through us so we can spend money on the things that we need or want. And that’s an important aspect. Now, one other interesting thing about this pond that we live on is we had a flood earlier and later in 2024, and the water level went really high, like 10 feet high. It was insane.
[5:19] Anyway, it was just a lot. But the spillways were able to process this bolus of water that came through, this flood of water that came through, and process it to the other side. And that’s also like your business. Like if you have clients that come through, you need to be able to process them to get them through and to kind of help them on the other side.
[5:37] It may take a little bit of effort. It might be a little bit more if you have a whole bunch come through at once, but it’s still that processing and letting your systems do the systems so they can get to the other side.
Action items to evaluate your offer ecosystem
Now, let’s talk about your next best step to develop your offer ecosystem. This is one actionable thing you can do to make this happen in your business. What I would challenge you to do is jot down all of your offers right now, or maybe all your ideas of offers, put them all down on paper, get them out of your head, and put them down on paper. That’s one of my number one tips for anything, get things out of your head and put it down. Think about how these offers connect to one another. Maybe they’re not connected. And that’s okay. Maybe there is a connection and you can do an upsell or a bump or a whole bunch of other words we’ll use throughout this podcast. But think about how that all plays together. Think about how the offers can perhaps lead to one another to get your client to the ultimate transformation.
[6:34] And the show notes, which you can find at wendymuzzy.com/2, I’ll link a blank offer ecosystem map there that you can start to use to jot down all of your ideas. And you can start to think about how all these pieces come together. I also have a few spots currently where you can work with me one-on-one,
[6:51] I can’t say I’ll have them forever. But I have a few spots currently. You’ll also find that in the show notes if you want me to review your offers or talk through how you can make your ecosystem a little bit more robust. Until next time, please know that I’m here cheering you on and celebrating the work you’re doing. You are making it happen. And I couldn’t.
